I had the diagrams (definitely not a beginners model) from JOAS Tanteidan magazine - I am a member but you can buy the mag from them also

it is a lovely application of a tessellation with a whole bunch of crazy pre-folding and management of layers to tweak the details, I folded it small (the limit of my fat clumsy fingers) here - www.wonko.info/365origami/?p=3…

no, no wet fold, no glue of any kind (just a bit of patience). I sometimes secure gussets and flaps of a presentation model with a little double sided tape but this model is, as yet, untouched.

I do, however, sometimes spray them with a matt clear lacquer that seems to make the creases stay creases - good to do after it is folded before the humidity starts to work on undoing your hard work.
